December 29, 2014 Update


On December 25th at 2:10 am, officers responded to SFGH on a call of a walk in gunshot victim. The officers met with the 18 year old victim, who had a laceration to one of his fingers. He was not initially forthcoming with details of what had occurred, but later stated that he was from out of town and got lost while driving in the City. He stopped and asked for directions from a subject who produced a pistol and began to raise it at the victim. The victim stated that he grabbed the gun and during the course of the struggle, a round was fired, grazing the victim’s finger. The victim refused to provide any suspect description to the officers that morning. It was later determined that the incident took place in the area of Beatrice and Lillian. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 141082850)




On December 25th at 3:15 am, officers responded to SFGH regarding a shooting victim that had admitted himself. The 38 year old male victim had been shot in the abdomen. The officers were advised by a friend of the victim that he had been involved in an altercation with a subject, that he had a long standing feud with, at 3rd and McKinnon. The subject attempted to stab the victim at which point the victim ran across the street. Several minutes later, a second suspect was seen getting out of a vehicle and approaching the victim with a handgun. The second suspect shot the victim, ran back to his vehicle, and drove from the scene. Both suspects were identified to the officers. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 141082844)


Armed Robbery:

On December 25th at 9:50 pm, officers responded to a pizza restaurant on the 300 block of Bayshore on a call of an armed robbery. They met with the Domino’s Pizza manager and three employees. They told the officers that three suspects entered the establishment through the rear door after one of the employees opened it to take out the garbage. At least two of the suspects were armed with a handgun. He ordered the manager to get on the ground. Another suspect punched the employee and struck him with the gun. The suspects robbed the staff of their personal items and stole money from the register before fleeing the scene. The officers secured the scene and collected all evidence. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them that night. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 141084339)



Firearm Arrest:

On December 26th at 4:20 pm, officers responded on a call of a traffic hazard at Jerrold and Barneveld. They located a disabled vehicle with a subject changing a tire. The long handle of the vehicle jack was extended out into the lane of traffic and the damaged tire that had been removed from the car was in the roadway. The officers approached the suspect and his associates to assist. The officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. As the officers came closer, the subject that was changing the tire concealed something under the tire. The officers detained all of the individuals as they conducted their narcotics investigation. The item that the suspect concealed under the tire turned out to be a loaded .38 caliber revolver. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on the weapons violations. Auto Theft Arrest:

On December 28th at 1:00 am, officers patrolling in the area of 25th and Dakota attempted to stop a car for driving with no headlights. The vehicle pulled to the side of the road and the suspect immediately swung the door open and tried to flee the scene. She was detained and a record check was conducted. The vehicle that the suspect was driving had been reported as stolen. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on auto theft and possession of stolen property charges. Homicide Arrest:

On December 7th, a homicide with a gun occurred in the area of 20th and Mission. Investigating officers were able to identify a suspect through their investigation and sent out a crime alert to all officers to be on the look-out. On December 28th at 8:00 am, Bayview Officers patrolling in the area of Harbor Road and Ingalls spotted the suspects and recognized him from the wanted bulletin. The suspect was detained pending further investigation and later booked at County Jail. (SFPD Case No. 141089505)




On December 29th at 1:45 am, a 37 year old victim was robbed at LaSalle and 3rd. He told the responding officers that he had been walking in the area when he was attacked from behind by three suspects. The victim was struck several times until he fell to the ground. The suspects then robbed him of his money, jewelry, and cell phone. The suspects then fled on foot. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate then that morning. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 141092893)
