December 24, 2014 Update

Bayview Station’s Annual Toy & Turkey Giveaway at the Alice Griffith Opportunity Center that took place on Saturday, December 20th.

Firearm Arrest:

On December 18th at 7:30 pm, officers responded to a home the 1100 block of Carolina on a call of an altercation. They found both parties on scene and determined that the fight was not physical and that there were no injuries. When the officers inquired as to whether or not there were any weapons in the home, one of the subjects stated that he had a handgun in his car. Through a record check, the officers were able to determine that the suspect was a convicted felon prohibited from possessing any weapons. He was placed under arrest and the .22 caliber pistol was recovered and seized. The suspect was booked on weapons violations. (SFPD Case No. 141063769)

Narcotics Arrest:

On December 22nd at 7:30 pm, officers patrolling in the area of 25th and Wisconsin noticed a suspect loitering on the corner. They made contact with him and determined via record check that he had a $35,000 warrant for his arrest. The suspect was taken into custody. A search of his person revealed methamphetamine and a used glass smoking pipe. The suspect was booked at Bayview Station on his warrant as well as narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 141075918)

Narcotics Arrest:

After an investigation into a local drug dealer, officers were able to secure a search warrant for the person and residence of the suspect. On December 23rd at 1:00 pm, the officers served the search warrant at the suspect’s home on the 1400 block of Revere. The suspect was detained and the search of the residence was conducted. The officers located heroin, methamphetamine, multiple types of pharmaceutical narcotics, as well as packaging supplies. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on the narcotics violations. (SFPD Case No. 141077710)

Burglary Auto Theft Arrest:

On December 23rd at 11:15 pm, officers responded to an alarm activation at a warehouse on the 2500 block of Ingalls. They found a car backed up to the warehouse. The vehicle was running and had a punched ignition. A record check revealed that the vehicle had been reported as stolen. The door that the vehicle was backed against was open and damaged. The officers went inside of the warehouse where they conducted a search of the interior. They found two suspects hiding behind some boxes in a storage area. Both suspects were placed under arrest and were booked at Bayview Station on burglary and auto theft charges. (SFPD Case No. 141079976)

Shooting:

On December 23rd at 11:30 pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Middlepoint on a call of a shooting. They located a 28 year old female victim inside the residence who had been shot in the thigh. She told the officers that she had been crossing the street at Westpoint and Middlepoint when she heard gunshots and realized that she had been hit. She was transported to SFGH where she was treated for her injury. The officers secured the crime scene and searched the area for any possible additional victims or damage but were unable to locate any that night. This incident is under investigation. Auto Theft:

12/16/14, 12:00 pm – 2:00 am, 1400 block Rhode Island, black Honda DX

12/22/14, 1:30 am – 1:30 pm, Alanna/Executive Park, grey Hyundai Velostar

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be on Tuesday, January 6th, at 6 PM                Bayview Station Community Room  201 Williams Ave. (Cross Street Newhall)
