December 22, 2014 Update

Aggravated Assault:

On December 19th at 10:00 pm, officers responded to the 2100 block of Jennings to a requested meeting with the Fire Department. They were notified by the firefighters that they located a victim lying in the middle of the street with his shirt on fire. The 30 year old male victim was transported to SFGH where he was treated for his injuries. He told the officers that he had been walking on the 2100 block of Jennings and passed a group of individuals who were also on the sidewalk. Shortly after, he felt a liquid hit the back of his shirt which then ignited into flames. The victim rolled on the ground to extinguish the flames and was assisted by the Fire Department that had arrived shortly after. The officers secured the scene and preserved all evidence. Through their investigation, the officers were able to identify a suspect possibly involved. They searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that night. This incident is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 141066951)

Robbery:

On December 20th at 1:30 am, a 61 year old victim was robbed on the 1700 block of Kirkwood. He told the responding officers that he had been walking in the area when he was attacked by four subjects who robbed him of his phone, wallet, and keys. He was beaten severely and lost consciousness. When he came to, he walked to a relative’s home for help. The relative called the police. The victim was transported to SFGH for treatment of his serious injuries. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 141067426)

Recovered Firearm:

On December 20th at 11:40 pm, officers responded on a call of an altercation at a home on the unit block of Dakota. They located both parties involved and arrested the aggressor. A gun was located inside the residence that the suspect stated belonged to him. The .38 caliber pistol had an obliterated serial number. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing any weapons, was booked at Bayview Station on assault and firearm charges. (SFPD Case No. 141070112)

Aggravated Assault:

On December 21st at 4:20 pm, a 40 year old victim came into Bayview Station and reported that she had been assaulted at 3:00 pm on the 3800 block of 3rd St. The victim explained that she had been standing outside of her parked vehicle as she spoke to a friend. Suddenly she heard someone yell her name followed by a profanity. She looked over and saw a suspect who she recognized along with the suspect’s adult daughter in a vehicle headed towards her. The suspects then drove their car into the victim’s parked vehicle, reversed, and rammed it again before driving from the scene. The victim stated that the suspect has a grudge against her over an ex-boyfriend. The victim was able to province the officers with the suspect’s identifying information as well as that of the suspect’s adult daughter, who was the driver of the car that hit the victim’s vehicle. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 141071900)
