December 5, 2014 Update

Narcotics Arrest:

On December 3rd at 9:40 am, officers patrolling in the area of San Bruno and Alameda noticed a subject, who they recognized from previous contacts, sitting in her parked vehicle. The officers knew that the subject was on felony probation for narcotics offenses and that she had an active search condition. The officers detained the suspect and conducted a probation search of her person and car. Inside the vehicle, the officers located a baggie of methamphetamine, a digital scale, as well as packaging material commonly used in narcotics sales. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on the drug related charges as well as a probation violation. (SFPD Case No. 141019411)


Firearm Arrest:

On December 3rd at 1:30 pm, officers responded to a complaint of trespassers inside a unit on the 1000 block of Griffith. The resident called in the complaint, stating that she was away from her home and was notified by a relative who had visited to the residence and found numerous subjects inside. One of the subjects had brandished a gun at the relative and told him to leave. The officers arrived at the home and found ten suspects inside the house, all either members or associates of the “Oakdale Mob” street gang. None of the subjects had permission to be inside the apartment. The resident of the home had allowed the officers to conduct a search of the premises. The search yielded a loaded .25 caliber handgun hidden behind a toilet tank. Through their investigation, the officers were able to determine which suspect the firearm belonged to and placed that suspect under arrest. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was booked on firearm and trespassing charges at Bayview Station. The rest of the subjects were arrested for trespassing and were cited at the scene. (SFPD Case No. 141020139)



On December 3rd at 10:20 pm, a 36 year old victim was robbed as he got out of his parked vehicle on the 1300 block of Revere. He told the responding officers that he was in the process of removing some items from the passenger seat of his car when he was surrounded by two suspects. One of them was armed with a handgun that he pointed at the victim as he ordered him to give up his property. One of the suspects then went through the victim’s pockets, removing his wallet, phone, and car keys. Both suspects fled on foot. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them that night. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 141021347)


Auto Burglary Arrest:

On December 4th, Bayview investigators were able make an identification of a suspect responsible for several auto burglaries that occurred on December 2nd in the area of Terry A. Francois and South. The suspect was already on active felony probation for burglary. Patrolling officers spotted the suspects at 12:30 pm standing on the unit block of Cashmere. He was taken into custody without incident and booked at Bayview Station on several counts of auto burglary charges as well as probation violation. (SFPD Case No. 141017647)


Firearm Arrest:

On December 4th at 8:25 pm, officers responded to the unit block of Cameron on a shots fired call. They saw two parked vehicles that were occupied by two subjects each. The officers recognized two of the subjects from previous contacts and knew that one of them was on active probation with a search condition. The officers approached the vehicles and noticed that both cars had a heavy odor of burnt marijuana emanating from their respective interiors. They conducted a search of the vehicles and located a loaded .40 caliber handgun in the front seat area of one of the cars. Both occupants of that vehicle were placed under arrest. Marijuana was found in both vehicles. The officers searched the area immediately surrounding both cars and found a loaded handgun magazine and a bag of ammunition inside of a BBQ grill in front of a residence. That unit happened to be the home of one of the suspects arrested for the firearm offense. Both suspects were transported to Bayview Station where they were booked on numerous weapons violations and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 141023882)


Firearm Arrest:

On December 4th at 10:20 pm, officers in the area of 24th and Michigan detained the occupants of a vehicle parked facing the wrong way in a lane of traffic. They approached the vehicle and made contact with the occupants. The officers immediately detected the odor of marijuana in the car. The officers searched the vehicle for narcotics and in doing so, located a loaded revolver in the glove box. A record check revealed that the gun had been reported as stolen. One of the suspects admitted to possession of the gun, stating that he had found it. He was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on multiple weapons related offenses.
