December 3, 2014 Update

Auto Theft Arrest:

On December 1st at 7:40 am, an officer responded to the 1700 block of Newcomb on a call of a stolen vehicle parked in a driveway. He arrived to find the vehicle occupied by a subject. As soon as the subject noticed the patrol car, she got out of the vehicle in question and began to walk away swiftly. The officer recognized her immediately from previous auto theft arrests and detained her without incident. A record check revealed that the car had in fact been reported as stolen. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on auto theft and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 140983944)


Robbery Arrest:

On November 15th at 3:00 pm, a 29 year old victim was robbed in the area of Northridge and Dormitory. He told the responding officers that he was working on his car with the hood up when a subject approached him. The suspect engaged in small talk with the victim regarding the problem with the car. The victim set his iPhone on the engine as he went inside the car to start the ignition. He then noticed the suspect pick the phone up. The victim told the suspect to give the phone back but the suspect refused. When the victim approached the suspect to try and take his phone back, the suspect punched the victim and took off running. The officers were unable to locate the suspect that day but the subsequent investigation revealed the suspect’s identity.

On December 1st at 4:15 pm, officers patrolling in the area of Jerrold and Dormitory spotted the suspect wanted in connection to the above incident walking down the street. He was taken into custody and booked for the robbery offense at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 140968576)


Narcotics Arrest:

On December 2nd at 12:00 am, officers patrolling in the area of San Bruno and Silver spotted a subject drinking from a bottle of alcohol at the corner gas station. They detained him for drinking alcohol in public and placed him under arrest when he could not provide identification. A search of his person revealed methamphetamine in his pocket. He was cited for the quality of life violation with further investigation into the narcotics violation. (SFPD Case No. 141016097)


Auto Theft Arrest:

On December 2nd at 10:00 am, officers patrolling on the 1800 block of Palou conducted a record check of a vehicle that was parked and occupied on the street. They learned that the vehicle had been reported as stolen on the previous day. The officers detained the suspect who was found sitting in the rear. The officers attempted to place the suspect under arrest but he resisted wildly. He was eventually successfully subdued and taken into custody. The suspect was booked on auto theft and resisting arrest charges at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 141013491)


Firearm Arrest:

On November 25th, officers were able to obtain a search warrant for a residence on the unit block of Cameron and its occupants. On December 2nd at 9:15 am, after a brief surveillance, the officers served the search warrant at the residence. All the occupants were detained as the officers conducted their search, which revealed an AK-47 assault rifle. Through their investigation, they were able to determine which resident the gun belonged to and placed him under arrest. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing any weapons, was booked at Bayview Station on numerous assault weapon violations. (SFPD Case No. 140997343)


Narcotics Arrest:

On December 2nd at 1:00 pm, officers detained the driver of a vehicle with expired registration that was stopped in a prohibited zone at Mendell Plaza. A record check revealed that the suspect was on current probation with a search condition. A search of his vehicle revealed a bindle of methamphetamine in the center consol. The suspect was arrested and booked on the narcotics and probation violations. (SFPD Case No. 141017158)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.
