November 24, 2014 Update

Auto Theft Arrest:

On November 21st at 8:00 am, officers patrolling in the area of Ingalls and Palou when they spotted a vehicle run through a stop sign. The officers pulled up behind the car and ran the plate. The vehicle came back reported as stolen. The officers attempted to pull the car over but the driver did not immediately yield, taking them on a slow pursuit until finally stopping at Ingalls and Kiska. He was taken into custody without further incident. A search of the vehicle revealed several bags of marijuana in the car. The suspect was booked on auto theft and narcotics charges at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 140968350)

 Gambling Arrest:

On November 21st at 11:36 pm, officers patrolling on the 4800 block of 3rd St. spotted two subjects playing dice against the wall of a business in the area. The officers observed the subjects exchange money. They detained them pending an investigation at which point one of the suspects attempted to hide the dice in his pocket. Both were taken into custody. One of the suspects had several active warrants for his arrest and was booked on the warrants and gambling offense at Bayview Station. The other suspect was cited for gambling and released from the scene. (SFPD Case No. 140985837)

Shooting:

On November 21st at 4:20 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Fitzgerald on a report of a shooting. They located a 25 year old male victim who had been shot in the back. He was immediately transported to SFGH for treatment. He told the officers that he had just parked his car and was walking towards a residence when he heard gun shots and saw a suspect firing a gun at him from across the street. The victim was able to get away by running inside a residence where he realized that he had been hit. The officers secured the crime scene, obtained witness statements, and preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 140986738)

 Narcotics Arrest:

On November 22nd at 1:33 am, officers responded to the 1700 block of Oakdale on a call of a subject who was possibly armed. On arrival, they located a suspect who matched the description provided. He was detained and a record check revealed that he had an outstanding no bail drug warrant for his arrest. The suspect was taken into custody. A search of his person revealed no weapon, but the officers did find a bag of powder cocaine and a digital scale in his pockets. The suspect booked on his warrant and the narcotics violations at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 140988245)

 Robbery:

On November 23rd at 3:10 pm, a 39 year old victim was robbed on the 2400 block of San Bruno. He told the responding officers as he was walking, a suspect approached him and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then removed the victim’s wallet from his pocket and ran off south on San Bruno. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 140992569)
