November 10, 2014 Update

Bank Robbery:

On November 6th at 3:35 pm, officers responded to a bank on the 2500 block of San Bruno on a call of a robbery. They learned through their investigation that the suspect entered the bank and brandished a handgun at a teller, demanding money. The suspect made his way behind the counter where he forced several tellers open their drawers and the vault. The suspect stole money from the drawers and vault and left the bank. The incident was captured on video surveillance footage. Crime Scene Investigations responded and collected all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 140940988)


 Hot Prowl Burglary:

On November 7th at 9:45 am, officers responded on a call of a hot prowl burglary that occurred at a home on the 1300 block of Palou. They met with the victim who told them that she had been asleep in her bedroom when she heard the sound of someone moving around the house. The victim descended the stairs and came face to face with the suspect who was walking out of one of the bedrooms, carrying a box of items. The victim yelled at the suspect to get out at which point the suspect casually walked to the front door and left the home. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate her that day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 140943039)



On November 7th at 3:40 pm, officers responded to the 1600 block of Quesada on a report of a shooting.  They located multiple spent shell casings in the street and obtained witness statements. The officers learned through their investigation that two subjects were seen shooting at each other before both fled the scene. The officers preserved the crime scene, collected all evidence, and searched the area for victims, suspects, and damage. They learned that a victim of the shooting had taken himself to SFGH with a gunshot wound to his hip. The officers responded to the hospital but the victim was uncooperative with the investigation that day. No other injuries were reported as a result of this incident, which is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 140944247)


 Aggravated Assault:

On November 7th at 8:20 pm, a 47 year old victim was stabbed in the area of Illinois and Mariposa. He went to SFGH where the hospital staff called the police. The officers interviewed the victim who told them that he had met with an acquaintance who he believed had stolen his bicycle. A confrontation ensued. The two got into a heated argument which led to a physical confrontation during which the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the arm. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was able to provide the officers with some identifying information for the suspect. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 140945217)


 Armed Robbery:

On November 8th at 10:10 pm, a 65 year old victim was robbed on the 600 block of Hamilton. He told the responding officers that he had parked his taxi cab near his house and unloaded a duffel bag from the trunk, setting it by his front door, when two suspects approached him from behind. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victim and ordered him to give up his belongings. The suspect grabbed the victim’s duffel bag while the other grabbed the keys that the victim was holding. The victim began to scream for help, at which point the suspects both ran off on foot. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them that night. This incident is under investigation.   (SFPD Case No. 140948346)
