On November 6th at 9:50 am, officers learned from a confidential informant that there was a suspect with a gun in the area of 3rd and Palou. The officers responded to the location and located a subject, who matched the suspect description, standing with a group of people on the north/west corner. The subject was detained pending an investigation into the allegation. A pat search for weapons yielded a loaded .38 caliber handgun which was found in the suspect’s pants pocket. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing any weapons, was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on multiple weapons charges. (SFPD Case No. 140940007)
On November 6th at 5:10 pm, officers responded to the 1200 block of Quesada on a call of an aggravated assault. They located the 36 year old victim, with multiple injuries, on the sidewalk. The victim was uncooperative and refused to provide the officers with any information regarding the suspects or the circumstances around the assault. The officers interviewed witnesses and learned that the victim was seen arguing with two female suspects. Two male suspects were then seen getting out of a waiting vehicle. One of the male suspects was armed with a baseball bat and struck the victim with the bat multiple times. The other suspects jumped in and beat the victim before getting back into their vehicle at the sound of the police sirens. The suspects then drove from the scene. The officers searched the area for the suspects and vehicle but were unable to locate them that evening. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 140942138)
Aggravated Assault Arrest:
On November 5th at 5:50 pm, a victim was attacked by a relative in the area of Palou and Lane. The victim reported the incident at Bayview Station, explaining that he was walking in the area when his uncle (the suspect) pulled up in a car beside him. The suspect got out of his car and attacked the victim, slamming him against the sidewalk and threatening to kill him. The victim stated that the attack was a result of an ongoing family feud. The suspect was arrested on November 6th when officers located him at his home on the 3300 block of San Bruno. He was booked at Bayview Station on aggravated assault and threats charges. On November 6th at approximately 7:50 PM, Plainclothes officers were working violence suppression on the 900 block of Connecticut. Officers saw a group of 5 males huddled in a group behaving suspiciously. Two Officers exited their vehicle to get a better vantage point on the suspects. The suspects split up into two groups. Four suspects were followed by one Officer and one suspect was followed by another Officer. The single suspect turned on the Officer and produced a handgun. The Officer drew his firearm and ordered the suspect to drop his gun. The suspect did not comply with the Officer’s order. The suspect advanced on the Officer. The Officer fired at the suspect striking him once in the upper body. The suspect was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The suspect had suspected narcotics in his possession. The gun is believed to be a loaded .38 caliber.
The four other suspects were detained. One of the four suspects also had suspected narcotics in his possession.
The investigation will continue through the night. The involved Officer will be placed on paid administrative leave per department policy.
