November 5, 2014 Update

Robbery:

On November 1st at 12:30 am, a 36 year old victim was robbed at Galvez and Newhall. He told the responding officers that he had been walking with his wallet and cell phone in his hands when a suspect approached him while brandishing a handgun and demanded his property. The victim, in fear for his life, surrendered the items and watched as the suspect ran off and got into a waiting vehicle. The car took off in the direction of Newhall St. The officers searched the area for the suspects and vehicle but were unable to locate them that morning. This incident is under investigation. Stay Away Order Arrest:

On November 3rd at 11:30 pm, officers patrolling on the 1700 block of LaSalle saw a subject seated in a parked car that they recognized from previous contacts. They knew that the suspect had an active stay away order from the 1700 block of LaSalle and was in violation of that order. A record check also revealed that she had an outstanding $75,000 narcotics warrant for her arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and was booked at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 140932731)

Auto Burglary Arrest:

On November 3rd at 4:40 pm, after reviewing surveillance footage from an October 28th auto burglary that occurred on the 800 block of Terry Francois, officers recognized the suspect in the video from previous contacts. The officers knew that the suspect often frequented the area of Missouri and Turner Terrance and responded to that location to search for him. The officers located the suspect on the 700 block of Missouri and placed him under arrest. The suspect, already on felony probation, was booked on auto burglary charges at Bayview Station. Robbery:

On November 4th at 9:00 am, a 31 year old victim was robbed on the 1400 block of Van Dyke. He told the responding officers that as he reached down to open his car door he felt a tap on his shoulder. When the victim turned around, the suspect punched him and ordered him to give up his property. The victim handed over his iPhone and wallet. The suspect then fled on foot north on Keith. The officers searched the area for the suspect and but were not able to locate him that morning. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 140933206)

Narcotics, Possession Stolen Property Arrest:

On November 4th at 7:00 pm, officers conducted a probation search of the person and residence of a suspect on the unit block of Watchman Way. The suspect was found at home and was detained throughout the duration of the investigation. The officers recovered several rocks of crack cocaine and methamphetamine in the suspect’s bedroom. They also found shaved keys (used in auto thefts) and multiple credit cards in other peoples’ names that were confirmed as stolen property from auto burglaries. The suspect was placed under arrest and was booked at Bayview Station on the narcotics and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 140934834)

Auto Theft Arrest:

On November 4th at 7:00 pm, officers patrolling in the area of 25th and Texas noticed a double parked vehicle. The officers ran the license plate and discovered that the car had been reported as stolen. The officers activated their lights and siren but the driver of the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. They followed her to a dead end of Texas when she suddenly burst out of the vehicle and took off running. She managed to jump several fences before the pursuing officers successfully overtook her and placed her under arrest. The suspect, a parolee, was booked on auto theft charges at Bayview Station.
