November 3, 2014 Update

Firearm Arrest:

On November 1st at 12:10 am, officers responded to the area of Connecticut and Wisconsin on a call of shots fired. On arriving at the scene, the officers learned from a witness that the suspects who were seen shooting a weapon were last seen driving off in a vehicle. The officers were given the suspects’ and vehicle descriptions. The officers searched the area and located the vehicle that matched the description provided on LaSalle and 3rd. They recognized the two suspects on board from previous contacts and noticed that they matched the descriptions provided to them by the witness. As soon as the officers approached the vehicle, the suspects took off at a high rate of speed. The officers gave chase but terminated the pursuit when the suspect’s driving showed wanton disregard for the safety of pedestrians other vehicles. Meanwhile, a passerby walking in the area of Mariposa and Connecticut found a discarded backpack in the street. The bag contained a 9mm assault weapon believed to have been used in the earlier shots fired incident. The responding officers seized the weapon.

One of the suspects was located at 8:00 pm the following evening on the 1700 block of Newcomb and was arrested. He was booked on multiple charges including weapons and conspiracy violations at Bayview Station. An arrest warrant for the second suspect is pending.  (SFPD Case No. 140924653)




Aggravated Assault:

On November 1st at 2:55 pm, officers responded on a call of an assault in the area of Thomas and Keith. They located a 57 year old victim with a laceration to his forehead. He told the officers that he had been walking along the street when someone approached him from behind and struck him with a metal pipe. The victim did not get a good look at the suspect. The officers obtained witness statements and collected evidence at the scene. The victim was treated for his injuries at SFGH. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 140926223)




On November 1st at 11:50 pm, a 31 year old victim was robbed in the area of 3rd and Palou. He told the responding officers that he had exited MUNI bus at 3rd and Palou and was followed by four suspects. One of the suspects asked the victim what time it was and without waiting for an answer, began punching the victim. The rest of the suspects joined in and beat the victim until he lost consciousness. When the victim came around, he realized that his wallet and cell phone had been stolen. The victim was treated for his injuries at SFGH. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them that night. This incident is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 140927425)




Narcotics Arrest:

On November 2nd at 6:33 am, officers responded to a call of a subject attempting to push over a port-a-potty on the 600 block of Kansas. The officers located and detained the suspect. A record check revealed that the suspect was a parolee at large with an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody and a search of his person was conducted. The officers located several packets of methamphetamine in the suspect’s pants pocket. He was booked on the narcotics violations as well as the warrant at Bayview Station. Stay Away Order Arrest:

On November 2nd at 12:30 pm, officers patrolling on the 1600 block of LaSalle spotted a suspect hanging out at the corner that they recognized from prior contacts. The officers knew that the suspect had an active narcotics related stay away order from LaSalle and Newhall and that he was in violation of that order. The suspect was placed under arrest and was booked for the offense at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 140928611)

11/01/14, 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm, 600 block Texas, laptop stolen


Auto Theft:

10/31/14, 9:30 pm – 4:00 pm, 25th / Kansas, black Honda Civic

11/01/14, 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm, 1300 block Silver, blue Dodge Charger

11/01/14, 8:00 pm – 7:00 am, 200 block Bayshore, white Chevy Astrovan


Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month. There will be no meeting in November.

The next Community meeting will be on Tuesday, December 2nd,

at 6 PM
